The things people ask

Is this the official KS Live chat?
No. It's run by fans, for fans, and it's not connected to the show, the hosts or the app. The official live chat is still in the KS Live app. This is the friendlier room next door.
Does it cost anything?
No. Discord is free and so is the community. No one here will ever ask you for money, a card number or a password. If anyone does, tell a mod.
Do I have to use my real name?
No. Pick any display name you like. Most people use their first name or the name they use in the KS Live chat so mates can find them.
I've never used Discord. Is it hard?
Think of it as a group chat with rooms. Each room (a "channel") is about one thing, so the show chat doesn't get mixed up with the Perth meet-up. The step-by-step guide walks you through it with pictures, and a Tech Buddy will help on the phone if you'd rather.
What happens if someone is nasty?
Tell a mod, or report the message (hold your finger on it and tap Report). Only the mods can remove messages or people, so nobody can boot anyone over a disagreement. The rule is simple: one warning, then two strikes and you're out. Discord's own filters block spam, sexual content and phone numbers automatically.
Is it busy between shows?
It's lively during the show and quieter after, like a pub next to a stadium. Between shows you'll find show moments, music, suggestions and the Near Me rooms ticking along. The more of us there are, the busier it gets, so bring a mate.
Can I add songs to the playlist?
Yes. Everyone can add to the "Heard on the Show" Spotify playlist. The how-to is on the Music page, and the collaborator link is pinned in #heard-on-the-show.
